Association: Business to profit from making polymers in Turkey
MOSCOW, Jul 5 (PRIME) -- The Russian business should transfer production of polymers to Turkey or China to develop the market, Vladislav Tkachenko, CEO of the association of producers of pipeline systems, said on Tuesday during roundtable talks at the parliament’s lower chamber State Duma.
“It is more profitable to go to Turkey and build production there or transfer capacities to the country. It is also more profitable to transfer production to China,” he said, adding that about 70% of pipes and pipeline networks in Russia have been worn out.
He also suggested introducing classification of businesses depending on their margins and supporting the export-oriented companies. If polymers are classified as raw materials, not ready-made products later, exports will fall, he said.
